Solicit Donations
Soliciting is all about asking for donations to fill up our auction catalog. Donations can come from businesses or people you know.

Talking points:
We're a diverse public school. Over 60% of our 814 students live in socioeconomically disadvantaged households.
Our PTSA provides staff with supplies and program grants that benefit their classes, clubs, or the whole school.
We hope to raise $2,500 (10% of our annual budget) through an online auction from April 7–18.
We would be grateful for donations to auction off, especially of gift cards/certificates since we have limited volunteers and storage for tangible items.
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
Bring the donation letter/form if you are asking in person.

Proof of nonprofit status:
You may need our "Letter of Determination" as proof of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Please email us for a copy.

Donors Approached
If a donor has already been solicited below, please do not reach out to them again for 12 months unless you are sure it is okay to do so. If a potential donor is missing from this list and you feel they should be solicited, please email us, since several potential donors are deliberately omitted if they are already supporting us in other ways, or they aren't the right fit for this year's auction.
