To make our auction successful, we need donations from the extended community and you.

Donations are due April 4 so we can process and prepare them.

Donation Ideas

Gift Cards

That gift card you haven't used in three years isn't doing you any good. Donate it to the PTSA and let it raise money for the school!

ℹ️ Note: please don't feel obliged to buy a gift card for the auction. Many items including gift cards sell below face value, so we'd prefer to put the full value of your donation toward sponsoring the auction instead. Donating gift cards works best when you already have one that you know you won't use.

Vacation Properties

Do you share a cabin in Tahoe? Or maybe you have an an Airbnb? Donate a weekend or two to the auction.

Count Me Ins

Count Me Ins are events, parties, or experiences hosted and paid for by one or more Denman families. Hosts determine who it's for and how many people can "buy in" to attend. In addition to raising money, these fun events also promote community. 

Here are a few examples for inspiration: camping, hiking, museum day, a crafting session (crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, painting, and drawing work well), make-your-own pizza, empanada making, backyard BBQ, cookie baking, game or trivia night—the possibilities are endless!

Services

Volunteer your skills and talents for a good cause. Perfect if you prefer to donate time and expertise instead of cash.

Donate babysitting, house cleaning, cooking a meal, home organization, yard work, tutoring, even pie-of-the-month! Teach someone how to sew or play an instrument. Offer lessons in person or online.

VIP Access

Do you have VIP status or access to a cool workplace? Use it to sponsor an activity either unavailable to the public or at your special discounted rate!

Some ideas: private tour of an animation studio, museum, theater, or sports team, a round of golf at an exclusive club, meet-and-greet with local celebs and public figures you know.

Donations to Avoid—Alcohol and Large Items

ℹ️ Because this is the Denman PTSA's first year testing out a fundraising auction, we are keeping costs and effort to a minimum. In that spirit, we must regretfully decline any donations of alcohol as we are not purchasing a liquor license to legally sell alcohol. In addition, since we lack storage space, we may decline donations of large, tangible items with a value under $100 and bigger than a toaster (approximately). Thanks for your understanding.

Cash Sponsorship

The most direct way to help is to sponsor the auction with a cash donation. This contribution is tax-deductible and offsets auction costs, including software, publicity, and credit card processing fees.

We offer four levels of sponsorship:

Sponsors will be listed in the online auction catalog, which will link to the business website and display the business logo if one is provided or the webmaster can find a suitable image online.
